How can I help?
While our law-making work in Annapolis lasts for 90 days during the winter legislative session, I continue to work year-round to serve my constituents in District 7A. The “interim” refers to the other nine months of the year when we are not in Annapolis. During that time, I continue to meet the needs of the 85,000+ residents within our legislative boundaries. District 7A includes Middle River, White Marsh, Perry Hall, Kingsville, Carney, Loch Raven, Glen Arm, Long Green, and Baldwin. My team is always available to help support you. For instance, our office can assist you with problems with government agencies and other entities, including:
- Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA)
- State Highway Administration (SHA)
- Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE)
- Baltimore City Water Billing
- Department of Labor (DOL) Unemployment Insurance
Acting as a liaison between you and the government, my staff can answer questions, help resolve problems, or connect you with resources.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, concerns, ideas, or opinions about state legislation. We welcome phone calls, emails, letters, and meetings. My team can help answer your questions about current or proposed laws. Also, some of my past legislation has been dialed down to local issues that impact Baltimore County particularly. For instance, my bill, signed into law, eliminated property taxes for volunteer fire companies in 2023 across Baltimore County. Also, my bill to address the issue of improper vehicle registration tags (particularly Virginia license plates) began as a Baltimore County bill. Then, it merged as a statewide bill to deal with improperly tagged vehicles. These pieces of legislation came directly from requests from constituents in District 7A and after hearing stories of fundamental issues that impact our communities.
