Ryan Nawrocki is a lifetime resident of Baltimore County. Growing up in a working-class home in Parkville, he quickly learned the value of honesty, hard work, and a quality education. As the grandson of a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran and an airplane builder at the Glenn L. Martin Company in Middle River, he realized early the importance of serving your country and community.

As a nurse, Ryan’s mother always taught him the need for compassion toward others. As a long-time employee of the Social Security Administration, his father continues to serve as an example that public service is a privilege not a right.

As a child, Ryan attended St. Ursula School in Parkville and later excelled at Loyola High School in Towson through his academic and athletic achievement. Ryan played both baseball and football at Loyola High School, earning an opportunity to play in the annual Turkey Bowl traditionally held on Thanksgiving Day at Ravens Stadium. After high school, Ryan attended St. Mary’s College of Maryland in southern Maryland. At St. Mary’s College, Ryan played baseball and graduated with honors. He was the first person in the college’s history to graduate with four majors. He majored in political science, public policy, economics, and sociology.

After college, Ryan became the youngest gubernatorial appointee in Maryland’s history, serving as a spokesperson for the Maryland Aviation Administration, which includes BWI and Martin State Airport in Middle River, under the administration of former Governor Bob Ehrlich.

After the Ehrlich Administration, Ryan was able to continue to serve the community by working as a spokesperson for several Members of Congress including Congressman Andy Harris of Maryland and House Freedom Caucus Chairman Scott Perry in Washington, D.C.

For his efforts in transforming a state agency, Ryan was recognized by the Maryland Daily Record newspaper as one of its “VIP List,” which is a list of 40 people under 40 who are leaders in the Baltimore area. He also received a similar 40 under 40 distinction from the national industry publication Mass Transit Magazine for his work transforming the MTA’s communications efforts. His success at the MTA provided Ryan with the knowledge and ability that led to the formation of his first company. As a small business owner, Ryan now manages two companies, including co-owning a medical aesthetics practice with his wife Lauren and a company specializing in CBD consultation and sales. Ryan lives in Middle River with his wife Lauren, who holds a doctorate degree and is a professor at the University of Maryland. They are the proud parents of their daughter Emily and sons Matthew, Luke, and Jacob. Ryan has a master’s degree in public management from Johns Hopkins University and is a graduate of the Leadership Baltimore County program. He was recently named a Hometown Hero by the Gateway Chamber of Commerce for his work with Middle River Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company. The Nawrocki’s are parishioners at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Middle River.

Ryan is also a member of the Knights of Columbus Pope John Paul the Great Council at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Middle River, as well as a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Archbishop Keough Council. Ryan is also a member of the Sons of the American Legion at American Legion Post 180 in Rosedale and is an auxiliary member of the Charles Evering VFW Post 6506 in Rosedale. He was the vice president of the White Marsh-Cowenton Community Association and Bird River Road Neighborhood Association, a member of the White Marsh Police and Community Relations Council, and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Middle River Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company.
